PARIS – PART 1

11/01/2017

Bonjour! It’s been a long time my friends. I posted about going to Paris back in January, I can’t believe that was 11 months ago. One of my dreams did come true and I went to Paris back in April. It was so beautiful and perfect, that I am already daydreaming of going back. I did the usual sightseeing that anyone new to Paris would do. Check out my photo diary below of a few of the places I visited.

I stayed in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. The apartment I rented was two blocks away from one of Paris’ beautiful parks, the Jardin du Luxembourg. With it being so close, many mornings I would grab a croissant and espresso—as the locals say, “un café-croissant”—from La Parisienne and take a stroll through the Jardin du Luxembourg.

On my first stroll through the Jardin du Luxembourg I came across a small replica of the statue of liberty. Have you seen it?

I also spent some time on a small island surrounded by the Siene river, Ile de la Cite. There, I toured Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle. I have a love of architecture, with a short stint studying it in college, and being able to see these structures in person was an absolute dream.

Walking through Paris was so beautiful. I walked from the Louvre to the Arch de Triumph to the Eiffel Tower, and everywhere in between. I especially enjoyed walking and people watching at the Jardin des Tuileries and Ave des Champs Elysees.

Paris has definitely stole my heart and was everything I had imagined it to be and more.  Check back next week for another photo diary of my time in Paris.
